Why is time indicated as BST instead of IST when I send email when I have set indian time in settings?

When I send an email message, the recipient receives the message with time of sending indicated in BST e.g 07:30:10 +0100 (BST) instead of indicating time in IST which should have read 12:00:10 +0530 (IST)

Ok ,go to yahoo mail settings that you can find extreme up right ,Account information can you check which country you put in country location if you did united kingdom which i think you did then change to India %26amp; Indian city zip code .it can solved your problem because :

An email sent from someone in the BST time zone will have the time zone listed as "+0100" in the headers of the email. (However, "+0100" does not have to be in BST, as other time zones could have the same UTC offset).

Reply:maybe the recipient has set himself his specific time zone. British Standard time? you ask your recipient also to set to IST.
Reply:Well, with the same type of issue I contacted the Yahoo! Customer care and they said they have only one time format PST( Pacific Standard time). Its strange that you are getting BST its highly impossible.


I have 2 yahoo email accounts. I can access one from outlook, but not the other. The settings appear the same?

Check to make sure the account that doesn't work is set for pop forwarding


Go to your Yahoo mail page..... click on options (top right hand corner )......... on the centre column under management click on..... pop Access and Forwarding......and select....... Web %26amp; POP Access .....%26amp; save page and follow any instructions

I cannot log into my email account. it always says that i should check my settings.?

I'm actually relieved that so many other people are having this issue. I was certain I had been hacked. At this point I think yahoo is having server crashes, perhaps the servers freak out when it's time to "spring forward". At any rate, my tech friend told me not to panic, just wait a few hours for the servers to recover. Hopefully all the mail will be intact when they do. I'm not a techie, so if someone thinks I'm overly optimistic, please inform.

Certain email Ids are not permanent. For instance when you work for citicorp they will allot an id for you. Once you quit or you are sacked the mailing id is removed. After this it will be 'bounced'.





There could be other possibilities.

Reply:I have been having this problem for a month. I could not recieve or send email from my brother %26amp; some friends that have aol. Someone one else on here was having trouble sending %26amp; recieveing email from Juno %26amp; Verizon. So I would think the problem is with yahoo since it is with more than one service. I think I can help you here. I think that you may have did something wrong regarding your settings. Maybe you put in the wrong information. I do that sometimes but when I correct the error,I get through. Keep trying to log in. I hope I helped you out here.
