Check to make sure the account that doesn't work is set for pop forwarding
Go to your Yahoo mail page..... click on options (top right hand corner )......... on the centre column under management click on..... pop Access and Forwarding......and select....... Web %26amp; POP Access .....%26amp; save page and follow any instructions

I'm actually relieved that so many other people are having this issue. I was certain I had been hacked. At this point I think yahoo is having server crashes, perhaps the servers freak out when it's time to "spring forward". At any rate, my tech friend told me not to panic, just wait a few hours for the servers to recover. Hopefully all the mail will be intact when they do. I'm not a techie, so if someone thinks I'm overly optimistic, please inform.

Certain email Ids are not permanent. For instance when you work for citicorp they will allot an id for you. Once you quit or you are sacked the mailing id is removed. After this it will be 'bounced'.

They probably did send it immediatly. But Yahoo is making sure it gets delivered where it should. But checking for Spam, Virusses, Block Addresses, etc. And that does take time.

i have been using yahoo mail for 5 years and got a few spam every once in a wile but just in the past few months i started getting at least 10 spam mail a day. i dont give out this email to anyone but friends and my settings have been the same since day one and i never had any problems but now its daily and im ready to change to another email with better protection against spam if i cant fix this. spam gard is on and set to high. is anyone els having this problem?

I have a new wordpress blog, but there's nothing in SETTINGS>WRITING to enable blog post via email. WHy?
I've been on my Wordpress help sites, and they all give specific directions on how to post a blog entry via email--using the SETTINGS%26gt;WRITING in the admin section of my account. But when I click on that area, there's nothing at all resembling setting up that ability to post to blog via email. I've scrolled and searched and come up empty. Help! Or, is there a very user-friendly way to to this NOT using a feature in Wordpress, since maybe this feature was disabled in Wordpress. TIA for help!

are you useing a e-mail program, such as out look? or are you just going right to your provider? Either way, the e-mail trash folder resides on the service's mail server. There is really no direct way to get the e-mail on to your computer, unless you are useing your own e-mail server (own being, you have the server set up under your desk). All aspects of your e-mail account remain on your providers server.

How come some email pictures don't come thru?? i think it's my settings?
It's possible that the email is being blocked by a Spam folder. Most e-mail programs have a seperate folder for spam. Unless you mark an e-mail adress as not being spam, it will put emails that look supicious into this folder. All you need to do is tell your e-mail that it is not spam. Usually all you have to do is open the email and then there will be a button that says not spam. This all depends on what email you are using.

Yahoo email attachments via context menu and Internet Explorer 6 Security Settings?
For at least 2 years now I have not been able to automatically attach a file and email through yahoo (which is my default) using the right-click context menu on a file.. i.e when you right click on a file you have the option to email w/ Yahoo. But when the attachment screen comes up you still have to manually attach the file. My friends computer has the same problem so i know its not just mine. I have searched everywhere and emailed Yahoo, of course with no reply, and have never been able to get a solid answer. It is possible that it is an Internet Explorer security issue which leads me to my 2nd question. Whenver I try to lower the security settings for the Internet below Medium it will not allow it. I get an alert stating the recommened security level for this zone is "Medium". No matter what I do, to include disabling the windwos firewall, it will not let me lower the security level. I've also went through the custom settings option but the security level ALWAYS returns to medium

I can't find the feature to unblock/not spam a friend's email. It's not in my "spam protection" settings?
Mail page to "options"----then click on "block addresses". Scroll through the blocked list and find your friends address----click on it to highlight---then click "remove block".
If your friends email is still in the bulk folder----go there---open that specific mail and then click "NOT spam" and it will be returned to your inbox and unblocked.

I have an @orange.net email address (mobilenumber@orange.net) and want to configure it in Outlook Express - I have phone many many Orange helpdesks (at 50p per min for over 30 mins!) and they still not able to tell me.....

There are no beta icons anywhere on my format since it is so old. Does anyone know anything about this. I have tried pressing help but I couldn't find anything related to this. An ad for a more advanced form of yahoo email had popped up when I clicked the mail icon and I had pressed go back to original at%26amp;t yahoo mail and I think that I have the 1994 version now so there are none of the newer feature buttons or links in my inbox. What settings do i put for my inbound and outbound server setting for my yahhoo email account on my Razr cell?
Unless you pay for it, or have a Yahoo Business Mail account, you cannot do it.

No it doesn't. You have to pay Mr Gates for the privledge to do that. Didn't use to be the case, if using any MS operating system below Windows 2000 and using outlook express 5 you could have had a free setup (Wasn't pop3, but did download the emails directly onto your computer).

It may be, but only if your isp is undergoing a system upgrade or overhaul. This is not a regular happening. I would definitely phone your isp to make sure the e-mail is from them. I haven't had to change mine since 1998, although I had to change part of my e-mail address.

Don't forget that it might get pretty expensive using your mobile for email unless you have a good plan.

you can't. people can only contact you through her and then the message goes to your email, if that's what you mean. but your address will always stay hidden by Yahoo! unless you phisically post your address on here.

Depending on where you are, if you are in a hotel or an office, they probably have a proxy, which enables only ports 80 and 443 (HTTP and HTTPS).
Do you have a web enabled mail system, such as webmail.
If not try dialling up directly to a pop, (ISP connection), and not using the offered connectivity. Don't forget you may need to add something to your dial number to get an outside line.
If you need to press 9 for an outside line add 9, to the start of your dial up number.
That should solve your problem.

i need to use 3 different email addresses and therefore use windows mail as a catch-all... trouble is i've just moved to a new flat where AOL are the isp and when working at home need to be able to send email aswell, i can't configure it to sent via their smpt though... i'm technically on USER@dialbb.com if that makes a difference?

For the last week, i was able, flawlessly to send and receive emails on my pda phone. Its a htc 6800, awesome phone. I am using the built in outlook with windows mobile 6. Today i noticed i cannot send, but am able to receive email.

I don't think it really matters what you use to OPEN the attachments as long as you virus scan them first.If you click the "open with" option you can then decide.

I don't think it really matters what you use to OPEN the attachments as long as you virus scan them first.If you click the "open with" option you can then decide.

You have to be signed up to the premium yahoo mail in order to use outlook express..

The problem may actually be with the Internet service provider you use, whether your own or the one that provides service to the wireless access that you "borrow". Some ISPs don't allow the use of the smtp addresses provided by Yahoo. In my own case, I could not use Yahoo's smtp address. I had to get an IP number for my ISP's smtp server--a number something like 123.456.78.90--and it worked like a charm.
