Go to your profile page and click the link saying "Edit My Info"
There's an option to use your avatar
I added my avatar to my email, and it wont show up on yahoo answers? why? its programmed in the settings!?
Lots of people are having problems with this. Unfortunately, it's a problem we'll have to wait out.
